I am very pleased to announce I have sold my first copy of Critical Thinking from Fine Art America! I have always thought this to be an entertaining piece of work that I thought of one day well…probably when I was faced with a similar situation. Funny how creative ideas can come to you when you least expect it! Anyway, thanks so much to the person who made the purchase! It always makes my day!

Most people get a chuckle out of this photograph when they first see it. “You sure a strange guy” they say, but isn’t that what makes some of the best art? I probably don’t need to tell you how I thought of taking this photograph, so I won’t bore or gross you out in any way. But haven’t we all been faced with this situation at least once in our lives? Most of the time the panic you first encounter is when you have to look for where or if there are additional rolls close by to replace this obviously empty one. The second time you panic is when you can’t find another roll and you now realize this one last sheet is all you have and you had Mexican food last night. Oops…sorry, that might have been a visual gross thought there for a second.

This is where the title comes in to play. “Critical Thinking” is what I titled this photograph and in my mind, that is what you would have to do to make this last sheet of toilet paper work for you. I think it is a great conversation piece and will make you think what you would do in this situation.
