My photo of the The Little Beggar was featured in the group The Birds on RedBubble! This little bird was so cute and just wanted a potato chip. I think they must have been Lays Potato chips because he apparently couldn’t eat just one!
Taken at the Dallas Aquarium yesterday with my family in town from Colorado and Florida. I have been here several times, but it never ceases to amaze me at what beautiful animals they have. I would still prefer them to all be free though.
Shot with a Nikon D300 and f/2.8 @ 200mm for 1/30 sec, ISO 800.
I really love this time of year! It’s the time when the butterflies start showing up and the hummingbirds will soon follow (I have seen one hummingbird at my feeder already). I took the Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 for a little drive around my work campus today. While shooting Tom the Mascot (wild turkey) was interesting, I really think this was my best shot of the day. The detail is just incredible!
Last year’s hummingbird run was my best year in captures thus far, but I am really ready for them this year with this monster fast lens! Stay tuned and enjoy!
